3 things to know about Carousel

Hi! I’m Jessica, founder of Carousel. I live in Brooklyn with my husband and daughter.

I know you’re busy, so here are the top three things I’d love for you to know about Carousel:

it's mission driven

You can get your stylish kidswear and make it be planet-friendlier, too. Carousel exists to keep children’s clothing from the landfill by making it easier and more fun.

Everything we do is in service of this mission. Carousel is a homegrown business by design, to ensure that there are no stakeholders with competing priorities.

it's just me (for now :))

Hopefully you agree that this website looks pretty great. From the start I knew that if Carousel were to be successful, I had to build a brand that reflected the joy of keeping great style in circulation.

But make no mistake–the Carousel “team” consists of just me, at least for now.

  • I source the inventory, clean it and sort it. I personalize, fold and ship every order.
  • I built this site, I design all the graphics, I create all the social posts, I plan all of our collaborations.
  • And all the other less glamorous aspects of running a business, too!

your choices matter

Did you know that 2,700 liters of water are consumed to produce, transport and process the material for just one t-shirt? That’s enough drinking water for one person for over 2.5 years.

So, yes, how you go about sourcing your child’s clothes and passing them along afterwards matters. Don’t do it for us, do it for them.

  • Ready to get started? Check out our baby capsule, mini capsule and gift capsule
  • Or start by donating gently used styles. We serve the planet and the community by recirculating clothing via capsules and supporting charities.
  • Tell a friend. Share Carousel with your mom or parent group. We have a referral program and an affiliate program as well.
  • Send us feedback. Leave a review. Engage with us on Instagram.
