Carousel was founded on the belief that more families would buy and trade preloved if convenient circular solutions existed. So we're building one.

We're a social enterprise, so everything we do is in service of our mission of keeping cool clothes on kids and out of the landfill. We're here to make change, not profit.

how it works

  • you pass on outgrown styles with a clear conscience

    We rehome styles that you trade in! As we work to build the trade in side of our business, we also thrift by the pound at donation outlets, rescuing awesome styles with an uncertain fate.

  • we take a "zero waste" approach to sorting

    We thoughtfully sort every item we receive to make sure it is used for the next highest purpose. This includes reselling through Carousel, donating to charities that provide directly to families in need and recycling for those items that have had their last playdate.

  • more styles rehomed, fewer trashed textiles

    The majority of our inventory is curated into our signature clothing capsules. We also sell select styles at pop-ups in NYC and are always working on developing more circular products and services.

Hi! I'm Jessica, founder and only Carousel employee—for now!

I live in Brooklyn, New York with my husband and daughter.
