All capsules include at least 1 top and 1 bottom (plus 1 one piece for baby capsules). The exact items chosen for each unique capsule depend on your Style Quiz answers and our inventory.

Most pieces are in "Very Good" condition, which means no stains, rips or excessive wear. In other words, most items look like they were worn and washed a few times but have a lot of love left to give.

Some items are in "Excellent" condition i.e. new with tags or appear to be brand new.

A very small portion of our inventory may have a small, hidden stain because the garment is a fantastic style we couldn't pass up, in otherwise very good condition. These items are added to capsules as bonus pieces!

"All the time" capsules feature year-round categories like t-shirts, leggings, jeans and pajamas. These boxes will still have an element of seasonality based on when you order and where you live.

Cold weather capsules feature items like long sleeve tops, thicker pants, long sleeve jumpsuits and sweaters, etc.

Hot weather capsules include items like shorts, tees and tanks, sleeveless and short sleeve rompers. We also have swimwear!

Yes! Everything in your capsule arrives ready to wear. (Neat, right?)

We ask that all traded in items be clean and wash them again in hot water using a gentle, non-toxic detergent.

Our multi-brand styling is part of the magic of Carousel, because every order has a unique, coordinating set of styles from a mix of brands including:

• Everyday brands like Cat & Jack, Carter's, Garanimals and Old Navy
• Classic faves like OshKosh and L.L. Bean
• Organic labels like Rabbit Bear, Monica + Andy and Easy Peasy.
• Premium treasures from Hanna Andersson, Crew Cuts, Petite Bateau, etc.

We aim for a hi-low mix of brands in every box. If your box ends up including mostly everyday brands based on our inventory and your Style Quiz answers, we'll include one or more additional items to pack in the circular savings.

You can be as specific as you like and take advantage of the open field to let us know what styles you need and love, for example:

• different size on top and bottom
• preference for a certain brand or silhouette
• favorite color to include (or one to skip)
• current obsession to indulge (princesses, trucks, etc.)

We can even accommodate many very specific requests as long as they are common, i.e. "send dinosaurs!" is very feasible while "do you have tomato print tank tops" would be tough!

If a garment has a double size listed, for example 6 - 12 months or 4T / 5T, we'll typically include it in a bundle of the smaller size.

Non-U.S. brands are typically included with the next size down. For example, a 3T style from a French brand would be included in a 2T box.

If an item's size label seems very off from it's actual sizing, we'll include it with items that are physically the same size.

We do recommend sizing up if you have any concerns—bonus that it's the more sustainable way to go too!

If there is an item in your order that does not work based on size or condition, please let us know within 7 days of receiving your order, and we'll provide a bonus item the next time you shop.

If you are unsatisfied with your bundle, you can exchange it for a new one or for merchandise credit. Please reach out within 10 days of receiving your order so we know to expect your return.
