GO CIRCULAR WITH US
Every year, 94 million tons of textile waste winds up in landfills. That includes an estimated 25% of the overwhelming amount of items donated to charities, many of which are not fit for reuse.
Our "green glove" pickup service is designed to help ensure that your outgrown children's clothing is reused or recycled, not trashed.

IT ISN'T EASY BEING GREEN
Kermit was ahead of his time when he sang those words in 1970, before the steep rise of fast fashion.
Here's what we do with your outgrown children's clothing:
- Bundle items in good condition that we can "rehome"
- Upcycle amazing but worn items that need a little love
- Donate items in good condition that we can't sell
- Recycle items in poor condition

FAQ
What items do you accept?
We accept baby and children's clothing items that are:
- clean (washed)
- in good condition, free of rips, stains or significant all-over wear
- made entirely or mostly of natural fibers, like cotton
- in styles we believe our customers will love
- sizes Newborn through children's 6/7 (Small)
How does Trade In credit work?
We will offer $1 - $5 in shopping credit for every in season item accepted, based on the brand, category and condition. At this time we do accept onesies and pajamas that meet the above parameters and are ready to be loved again, but are not able to pay out for them given their limited resale value. The same goes for off season items, as storing them is costly.
You'll receive an email from us within one week of your Trade In with a summary of the amount of items accepted and associated shopping credit! $10 will be deducted from each pickup to make it viable for us to come to you.
What happens to items not accepted?
About 5% of traded in items have treatable stains. We are delighted to share that we are able to save most of these for reuse by adding non toxic stain remover, washing in cold water and hanging them to dry.
Items that are in good condition but aren't a match to our style profile will be donated to one of our local NYC charities that provide children's items to families in need.
We recycle textiles that are in poor condition and unfit for reuse.
How is this different than donating to charity?
Don't get us wrong, if you have clean items in good condition that are currently being accepted by a charity you support, we are all for that!
Our mission is to reduce textile waste, and charitable donations are not the blanket solution to that problem. Many charities receive more donations than they can handle, including many items that are unfit for reuse or resale.
Our service is something to consider if at least one of the following applies:
- you support our mission to reduce textile waste
- you don't have time to sort your items
- you want to get shopping credit for as many of your items as possible
- you have items that may not all be in good condition
How does scheduling work?
Currently we are offering pickups on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month. This will be during business hours, typically the morning, between 9am - 1pm. If this schedule does not work for you, please send us a note so we can find a solution.
Where is this service available?
Currently we are able to handle pickups from addresses in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
